Dr. Daniel E. Blickenstaff

Dr Blickenstaff earned his DDS from The Ohio State University and has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. After graduation from dental school, he taught in the dental school at OSU while maintaining  a private practice in Columbus, Ohio. To continually hone his skills, he has taken thousands of hours  of continuing education over the years on subjects from oral surgery, periodontics, and endodontics, to cosmetic dentistry, neuromuscular dentistry, and dental sleep medicine. He is a certified invisalign, lumineer, and Pure Power Mouthguard provider. He has been doing laser dentistry for over 20 years and was one of the first dentists in the state to use a Velscope for early oral cancer detection.  In 2009, he earned fellowship status from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. There are less that 500 dentists worldwide who have achieved this status.

Dr B believes that our mouth is attached to the rest of our bodies, and as such, what happens in our mouth affects the rest of our body.  This holistic philosophy has led him to seek further training in the treatment of Tempromandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).  He looks at the whole person sitting in his chair, not just their mouths, treating them like they were the only patient on earth.

Dr B has 4 children & 3 granddaughters.  In his free time he enjoys officiating high school football (which he has been doing since 1981), and spending time with his wife, traveling, gardening, and cooking.  He treats all of his patients as if they were a part of his family.

Jill, Patient Care Coordinator

Since 2007, Jill has functioned as our insurance coordinator.  She brings over 25 years of dental experience to our practice.  She serves as your advocate during treatment planning and in maximizing your insurance benefits.  Married for over 20 years, she has a son and a daughter.  Her hobbies include camping, country living and spending time with her family.

Carly, Registered Dental Hygienist and EFDA Certified Dental Assistant

For 10 years, Carly worked as an EFDA certified dental assistant.  Her love of dentistry inspired her to enroll in a dental hygiene program, and she graduated in March, 2008, at the top of her class.  She loves spending one-and-one time with our patients and sharing her passion for hygiene with them.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and snow boarding.

Jenny, EFDA Certified Dental Assistant

Jenny joined our team in July, 2008, and has proven herself to be a valuable for Dr B.  She has had over 80 hours of training in Neuromuscular Dentistry, and now does a lot of the Neuromuscular work-ups for Dr B.  She makes the comfort and well-being of our patients her first and foremost priority.  She enjoys her job and spends her free time horseback riding, traveling and playing with her boxer, Sophie.

Gretchen, Patient Coordinator

The newest addition to the staff, Gretchen Kelln, began work as a dental assistant in Wisconsin in 1986. She then moved her family, 2 sons and a daughter, to Montana where she worked as an orthodontic assistant in Bozeman, Montana and then later worked as a treatment/financial coordinator in Livingston, Montana. She met her fiancé in Montana and in 2009 moved her family to Portland. She spends her free time working in the yard, going for motorcycle rides and enjoying Portland's abundant activities.

Jenee, Registered Dental Hygienist and EFDA Certified Dental Assistant

Jenee brings 30 years of dental experience to our practice. She worked for 12 years as a CDA< EFDA and then went back to school for a dental hygiene degree. After graduating #1 in her class, she started practicing in Beaverton while raising her 2 daughters, Amber (favorite RN, now 28) and Brianna (favorite eternal student, 25). When not spending time doing hygiene, she enjoys being active with racquetball, gardening or traveling with her husband of 30 years, Dave. When you come in, ask her about the stories of where they have been!
